ALOHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! How is everyone doing on this beautiful Monday!!! I am having a splendid day here in Vegas!
The
weather here has been crazy! It poured on Friday and Saturday which
just happened to be our Stake's Pioneer Days celebration. Here in North Las Vegas,
Pioneer Days is a super big deal. We had a missionary table set up so
that we could meet non-members!!! It was really weird to see so many Las
Vegas cowboys all in one place. Caswell would be proud! Anyway the rain
started coming on Friday just after we started serving food. It was like
a huge gust of wind and then BAM....Guess what happens? THE MOST RAIN I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY WHOLE LIFE. AND IT WAS HARD RAIN. WITH HUGE CHUNKS OF HAIL. Immediatly Hermana Furstenau and I ran to the car to get our cellphone to safety. Then as we are running back to the shelter, IT STARTS RAINING HARDER!!!! I DID NOT THINK THAT WAS POSSIBLE!!!!
I lost sight of my Hermana on the way back because the rain was
literally so hard that you could only see one foot in front of you. The
wind was also really intense. I imagine that the weather I experienced
would be like being in a hurricane. It was legit. I
could not see anything and I thought I was going to get blown away by the
wind. So I held on to a tree FOR DEAR LIFE. I was
just praying I would get back to the shelter safely. The wind died down
for a second, so I made a run for it in the direction of the shelter. By
some miracle I made it there and Hermana was right behind me. She
tackled me from behind and we knelt on the ground just crying. We were soaked and in pain from the hail! But we look back on it and just laugh :) Most of North Las Vegas flooded!!! It was insane.

leader. Everyone else is staying!
THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING RESTAURANT IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!! It is called Zupas and it is pure heaven!!!!! They give you a chocolate covered strawberry with every meal. It is like Panera, but way better. There is one in Provo!!!!!! Ashley must eat there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
