More Longing for Home
Hello Everyone!
I hope that you are doing well!
I had an amazing day yesterday. 8 hours of church!
I saw this video!
Check it out! Maybe you
all have seen it and I am way behind the times but I thought it was a
good reminder about prayer. The church should come out with one of these
every week!
This last week was nuts but wonderful!
We
were able to enjoy going to the temple. We are being obedient by making
up that time on P-day. It was a wonderful experience. I AM SO EXCITED
THAT MY SISTER IS GOING TO THE TEMPLE ON THE 20TH!!!! I tell everyone
how wonderful she is and how excited I am for her to turn her mission
papers in on the same day!!!! I think my companion might be sick of
hearing about it, but I dont care!!! I JUST LOVE HER SO MUCH!!!!
So
I am over 4 companionships right now! Sadly Sister J went home
because of health problems! The poor thing had only been out for 1 week,
but we know that she will be able to receive much more care at home. We
were really worried that her companion, Sister S,would have a
hard time having to adjust to a mini missionary, but she seems to be
doing very well. The mini missionary was actually in El Rancho as a
member before coming here to East! What a small world! I really want all
of my Sisters to be happy and I hope that Sister Conference helped her
to gain some tools she can use in the work. SPEAKING OF SISTER'S
CONFERENCE! Sister Nichols and I trained about the good, better, and
best of missionary work. It went really well! We shared Luke 10:38-42
with the Sisters. Success :)
I
had the privilege of going on exchanges with Sister Condie in Paradise.
She is such a wonderful new missionary. It really took me back to my
training days. She is very shy and reserved. I know that confidence will
come for her as she learns the ropes. We were able to find a lot of new
investigators and to have lots of lessons. Sister Condie is such a
sweetheart!
Other
than that, we experienced a few set backs that we are not getting down
on...our car broke down and Sister Nichols had the black plague....well
not really, but something like that. We had two investigators that went
to the Why I Believe fireside. One of them loved it and the other did not. The
one that did not like it complained that the Elders in front of her were
being very distracting and irreverent. Luckily she is still willing to
meet with us :)
Have a great week!
Love,
Sister Tucker
P.S.
Guess what! I got to have dessert on Tuesday evening with President
Snow and his wife! It was so great to get to know them a little better.
They both are so wonderful.
SORRY THIS IS SO SHORT!!! I love you :)
Thank you for sharing your daughter, as a missionary. She has a great
spirit. Her twin (ha, ha) used to live in our ward and came last night
to our ward BBQ. I just had to send this to you.
