"missionaries are that they might have joy" :) :) :)

WELLL HELLLO :)

I have so much great news to share today.

Welllllllllllllllllll first of all.....Claudio's father gave his son Claudio permission to be baptized. FINALLY!!! I was shocked. We have been praying for this miracle for about a month now. Every single prayer we offered was asking Heavenly Father to soften Claudio father's heart just a little bit. We just wanted to have an opportunity to testify and teach his father the restoration...the plan was to do that on Saturday. We came prepared with some super strong member fellowshippers and all! But...when we started to teach it became clear that Claudio Sr. was not going to come downstairs. I was super sad, but then we felt prompted to ask Claudio Jr. what was going on with his father and how we could help them and then Claudio Jr told us the his dad had given him permission two days ago. I was floored. And so excited. And really grateful. There is not doubt in my mind that Heavenly Father can soften hearts and I know he is more excited then me that Claudio Jr. is getting baptized this Saturday.

The second amazing thing that happened this week is that Grecia was baptized :) We have been teaching her and her family for a long time. Her mom was less active and her dad is not a member...but that has all changed. Their family now goes to church every week. The kids love primary and we have FHE with them once a week. The father of Grecia, Mariano, was very touched by the baptism of his daughter....and afterward tons of members come up to him and were encouraging him to get baptized too! It was really wonderful!!!!

The third awesome thing is that I was asked this week to give a training in district meeting about happiness :) Our district leader Elder Loo is pretty awesome (mainly because he is from Hawaii) and he asked me to give a training....I was like "on what?" and he said "will you do it on happiness. you are just always so happy." I am super excited about it. I have found lots of good scriptures and quotes while preparing for it :) WHAT A BLESSING! And I feel like I can honestly say that being a missionary is one of the happiest things I have ever been involved in....it goes past happy. it is just pure joy. and that is why I say...."missionaries are that they might have joy :)"

Halloween here was super fun. Our mission president does not let us go out and proselyte on Halloween because lots of people here in Vegas dress up as missionaries and do dumb things. They are so cool. not. We got to go down to the mission office and watch a movie which was weird because I haven't seen a movie in like 6 months. The movie is called "Ephrium's Rescue" and I highly recommend it. It is about the pioneers and it has a lot of heartwarming and funny aspects about it.

So...that is my life. How is yours!?!?!? Thank you to everyone for the updates and support. Your letters mean more than you will ever know :)

I HOPE THAT YOU ALL MAKE IT A GREAT WEEK!!!!

LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

this is a text message we sent our ward mission leader....translation..."brother. there is a party right now in the church. and there are witches...." this was to our ward mission leader right before marianas baptism anfter he had assured use that the english ward truck-or-treat would not be going our during the baptism. he was wrong. but the witches didnt bring any bad spirits so it was okay :)
