How many different way can I say that this was an A.W.E.S.O.M.E week?
Hi! Hi! Hi!
Happy Monday everyone :) One thing that I love about being a missionary is that Monday is a happy day!
This
past week has just been wonderful. We are all feeling a lot better. All
of my pain and soreness is gone. Sister DeCoster is still a little
sore, but she is looking a lot better. All the members here are telling
us that we have the light back in our eyes now. They make it sound like
we were Zombie Missionaries! Ahhhhhhh! The missionary medical sent us
all to an orthopedic specialist so that he could examine our necks and
backs. He said that everything looked good. WHAT A RELIEF!!!! He was
afraid that Sister DeCoster had a fracture on her spine but he checked
twice and everything looks fine! That was probably the craziest drama of
the week...just waiting to hear what the doctor had to say. He was
super nice and a lot of his nurses were members in my last area! They
told me of all the success that is happening there!!!! We are also
seeing tons of miracles here. Other than that trip, we had so many great
things happen this week. We decided that if we were going to have to
rest and still see our investigators then we would need to do missionary
work smarter. It worked! We still had 14 lesson and we saw "Meet the
Mormons" twice! It was such a spectacular week. :) :) :) (How many
different ways did I say how great our week was???? a lot)
Here is some awesome news: THIS
SATURDAY BECKY, ALISSA, AND BOB ARE ALL GETTING
BAPTIZED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! BEST DAY EVER! I
am so stoked about going back to my old area to see the Perez Family!!!!
I love them all so so so much! I have been praying that they would
continure to progress in the gospel. And BOB.......that sly guy decided
that he wanted to get baptized earlier than November! What a blessing :)
My heart is just so full of excitement that telling you about it doesn't
even begin to describe how I feel. I have felt the spirit a lot as I
have taught these people. I love teaching the gospel! It literally
brings me so much joy. And when I see that joy cross over to other
people it just explodes!!!! YAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!
Ray
and Bob are both investigators in different wards that are in there 70's
or 80's (when people get that old i don't really know how old they
are...it all looks the same)! Sister DeCoster and I have so much fun
teaching them! They have lots of experiences and they tell some
crazy stories. Ray is planning on getting baptized next weekend if all
goes well :) He is really looking forward to becoming a member. He has
tons of old people friends in the ward. One of the best parts of this
last week was teaching Ray and Bob the Law of Chastity. Hahahah! They
are both so old and so funny! Ray is living with his wife (I say wife
because they have been together so long that they call each other
husband and wife). Ray was kind of upset about the lesson. He knew it
was coming. He spent
the whole week before the lesson trying to find somewhere in the Book
of Mormon where it says that he doesn't have to get married :) At least
he is looking for answers in the right place! We teach our investigators
well :)
I
got the great opportunity to speak in church yesterday with a return
missionary giving her homecoming talk. (Lucky for me it was the same
topic my last ward asked me to speak on! ahahahah!!!) She did a great
job, but before her talk her family all got up together and did a
musical number. It made me chuckle a lot because I was thinking of how
funny it would be to have my family do a musical number together....it
would make people's ears bleed! Don't worry family and home ward, I won't
put you through that!
Well I am almost done with the Book of Mormon!!!! I love reading it everyday. It brings me so much peace!
I LOVE YOU ALL!
LOVE,
Sister Tucker
P.S. I can't email pictures from this computer! Next week!
