MUCHOS DE NADA :)

 ALOHA FAMILY AND FRIENDS :)

How are y'all on this fine day! (Don't worry. I haven't forgotten my southern roots!)

I am just having a dandy time here at the MTC! The weather is warm, the flowers are blooming, and it is not humid. LOVE IT :)

I have a few funny quotes this week! We have an Elder in my district who is from Vanuatu. Before I came to the MTC I only knew 3 things about Vanuatu. First, that it is in the Pacific near Fiji. Second, that there is not always clean water there. And Third and most important...they have this tradition of the men climbing up on top of a huge stick tree tower thing and then they jump off from this high tower with vines attached to their feet. It is like tribal bungee jumping. It is the ritual the boys go through to become men. This is for real. I saw a national geographic video of it. There is a possibility that they could die. Some of them do. Now, I know all this because one of my friends from BYUH got called on a mission there and he told me about it. When I met this Elder from Vanuatu in my district, I asked him tons of questions. He doesn't speak much English. He is an awesome guy. He always says the funniest, and  most uplifting things :) One time he got back from teaching a lesson with his companion, Elder Wilson and they were both discouraged. I asked them why. Elder Lauoto ( the one from Vanuatu) said that the investigator would not stop laughing at what he was saying. He said that he was frustrated because the investigator was also not understanding his Spanish (it sounds very French). I asked him how some of the other lessons have gone and he said... "We make them laugh. We make them cry. We mix it up like a salad :)" It was so funny but true. You never know what you will get with your investigators. He has done lots of other funny things too...for example he loves to watch the French Young Women personal progress videos. It is hilarious.

My Spanish is coming along. I have learned so much! My teachers are the best. I would love to come back here and be a teacher at the MTC :)

I should be getting my travel plans for Vegas any day now. Pray that I don't have to leave the MTC at 3am!!!!

I hope everyone is having a great day! Thank you so much for keeping me in your prayers!!! Know that I am loving the work. This time in my life is truly special. This is the only time I will have to focus on one thing. Missionary work. My goal is to give it my all :)

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!
Con Amor,

And my friends and I have been wondering forever what lpr vechicles are. I said that it meant little peoples rights vehicles. Haha!

Yep. My companion is a ginger. She has quite a spitfire personality and she is a talker. Kinda like Ash :)

I sent this legit letter I wrote the other day. Gold paper with silver and gold writing. Be prepared. One is coming your way.
