"Just a Little More Like Thee"
Aloha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After conference!!!
Another week has gone by! That is crazy! It has just flown by so, so, so fast! This
week has come and gone! This mission is flying by! I have been thinking
a lot of who I have become since coming on this mission. :) This
mission has been amazing and I have learned a lot from it. I love you
all and thank you so much for always supporting me! <3
Let me tell you what I have been up too!
Monday: We
were really busy this day! I had a doctors appointment which went
great! Then we were able to see Dustin and Maddie right before we
started our P-Day! It was awesome!!! I love those two so much! You can
really see how much they have progressed! They are changing and coming
unto Christ and it is amazing to see and be able to experience this
miracle!!! What a blessing. :) We also where taken to Cafe Rio by
our wonderful members! :) Brother and Sister Klabacka are amazing and
they do all that they can to help and support us. :) We also got to see
Sister Langston and her little granddaughter Faith :) Faith is super
cute and she has a lot of faith. :) We made the mistake of doing
the faith rocket with little Faith...she is three. Now she is very
interested in fire. #whatwerewethinking
Tuesday: Today
we also saw Dustin and Maddie again :) We have been calling them
Brother Custis and Sister Burden :) Hahaha Dustin always smiles when we
call him that :) We also had a wonderful lesson with the Richter family.
They are a really good family! AJ is so, so excited to get baptized!
Their lives have been super crazy lately! They have family moving in with
them and their house will be crazy for awhile!!! Hahaha :) But they will
be okay! We also got to see our investigator Chervine and her
granddaughters :) We then got to eat with the awesome Ballard family :) I
love them!!!!! Then we answered all of the questions that Dustin had with our Ward
Mission Leader. Dustin has had a lot of questions that he has been
thinking about and has been afraid to ask us these questions. But he
finally did and all the questions were answered! :) They weren't even
anti questions!!! They were question like "Why do I not remember the
pre-earth life?" You can tell that he has really thought about our
lessons.
Wednesday: We
saw Dustin and Maddie AGAIN!!!!! Whoop! Whoop!! We also saw the Burns
:) Those two are hilarious!! Brother Burns is like the old guy on the movie
UP. Hahaha :) Every time we visit them, he falls asleep when we are
talking to him! They are great and I am glad that I have been
able to get to know them. :) We also got a new investigator! His name is
Timothy :) He is 9 years old and his mom and dad are members.
He has not yet been baptized but he will be soon!!! :) We also got to see
Ashley :) She is doing really well! They both are excited for the
day that they will get to go to the temple together and be sealed for
all time and eternity and by then they will have a cute little baby girl
with them to be sealed together forever.
Thursday: Today
we had another really awesome lesson with our investigator Timothy. He
and his sister are super cute and want us to come over every day!
Hahaha :) We then had a delicious meal with a huge family of 15 kids.
Their last name is Barlow :) They are super nice and have a HUGE house.
hahaha :) I guess they would need that size of a house. :) We also got
to see Dustin and Maddie AGAIN!!!!!! Yeah! :) It was another great
lesson with one of my favorite families :)
Sorry for all the smiley faces! I am just so happy :) :) :)
Friday: This
day was a blur! I just wanted it to be Saturday already! Not because it
was a bad day!!! But because I WAS SO EXCITED FOR GENERAL
CONFERENCE!!!!
Now for the fun part!!!! WHAT I LEARNED FROM GENERAL CONFERENCE ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY:
-I was tutored by the Savior before I came here.
-I have a certain set of trials exactly fit for me. I was prepared for them before I came.
-As I move upward on the path, I make Heavenly Father happy.
-It was the load.
-Live True To The Faith
-Worry, warn, and weep- that is the price of discipleship
-Nothing is worth loosing our treasures in Heaven!
-We never trouble our Savior when we turn to Him!
- Daily Scripture Study, Prayer, and weekly Family Home Evening - this has to be done.
-Never let spiritual whirlwinds carry you away!
-Do all things the Lord asks of you!
-Do all things the Lord asks of you!
-Picture the Savior.
-Truth is Truth - it comes from God - it is part of the Gospel!
-Truth is Truth - it comes from God - it is part of the Gospel!
-You can't change people's direction, but you can influence the change in their direction.
-Be careful who you follow!
-I am more loved than a Tree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-Family History will bind your family here and the ones who have passed on!
-Gratitude is the catalyst to all Christlike attributes!
-Remain steadfast in bearing your testimony!
-The Gospel is not weight - it's wings!!!
-We have a short time here and an eternity to think about it!
-The Lord gives us strength to carry our burdens!
-Love is the essence of the Gospel!
-We don't know how or when blessings will come - but they will come!
-Respond to every call!
-There are very few one size fits all solutions.
-Prepare to Pray!
-Everything will work out- eventually!
-We must do all we can to find truth!
-We can have ultimate trust in our Savior!
-Heavenly Father will see us through the hard times!
- Important things: A family picture, a family dinner, a session in the temple.
-Follow-up is key.
-What are you learning from Preach My Gospel?
-Don't wait for a second chance to be kind.
- One should not roam through garbage.
-There seems to be things inside of us that resist endings. Why is that? Because we are made of eternal stuff.
-Just a Little More Like Thee
That is what I loved :)
Questions of your soul:
We have been studying Preach My Gospel as a family again. Each sections you would suggest us studying extra hard?
-Recognizing the spirit and the lessons :)
Does it snow in Vegas? If so, did you get any snow this year?
-Nope.. .It hasn't snowed here in 5 years.
Do you tract at all? If so, what approaches do you use?
-All day every day! We use the blessing contact where we offer blessing in the form of a prayer.
